I treasure recipes that have “high impressions per effort ratio,” ie easy dishes with few ingredients that delight you and your loved ones again and again.  I love recipes that are endlessly adaptable, and forgiving - like an old friend.  A delicious pie crust, a savory bread pudding, the absolute best moist yellow cake, or a happy morning granola.  Sometimes you’ll detect a good kick of my New Orleans roots.  Mainly, my inspiration comes from the abundance of great chefs, ingredients and products we have in the Pacific Northwest, from wine-making friends in Oregon and France, and from my organic vegetable garden.
